Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements
An estimated $52.6 million of the total grants paid and payable to local government authorities in Moreton Bay for reconstruction, betterment and other projects to recover from natural disaster events that occurred between 2019 and 2023. The program is jointly funded by the Queensland Government and the Australian Government.

New learning centre for Kallangur State School
With an investment of $11.8 million from the Queensland Government’s Growth Learning Spaces program, Kallangur State School’s new learning centre will cater for the growing school community.
The 2-storey learning centre will have 8 classrooms and feature outdoor learning areas, practical learning areas, staff facilities and amenities. Included in works at the school are refurbishments to 3 teaching blocks, to modernise the rooms and increase classroom sizes.
In keeping with the school’s 93-year tradition of community connection, the project is involving local businesses and workers, and is also boosting training hours for tradespeople and apprentices. Work on the new learning centre is expected to be completed in August 2023, and refurbishments are likely to finish in early 2024.
