Constructing the Whitsunday Skyway at Airlie Beach

Supporting construction of a tourist Skyway in Airlie Beach ($5 million over two years). Part of Destination 2045: Delivering Queensland's Tourism Future.

 

Frontline housing and homelessness services

Delivering housing and homelessness services to vulnerable Queenslanders in Mackay Whitsundays to assist them to secure longer-term housing and access other specialist support services, including temporary accommodation, outreach and connection to broader community services.

Building Queensland's Future

Mackay Base Hospital expansion

Expanding the Mackay Base Hospital with at least 128 new overnight beds as part of the Hospital Rescue Plan.

 

Harrup Park

Investing in Stage 2 of the Great Barrier Reef Arena upgrade at Harrup Park to deliver community sport, education and a training facility. Part of the Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program.

Making Queensland Safer

Police facility upgrades

Upgrading the police facility at Mackay and progressing the replacement of the police facility in Proserpine to support frontline policing services and enhance community safety.

 

Rural fire brigade stations

Commencing delivery of new or replacement rural fire brigade stations at Abbot Point and Mount Ossa to support fire and emergency services to the community.
