Port Hinchinbrook Revitalisation

Delivering dredging and remediation works as part of the Port Hinchinbrook Revitalisation Project, to restore safe navigability, address longstanding environmental liabilities and enable activation of the Port Hinchinbrook Provisional Priority Development Area ($64 million over two years).

Cairns Hospital expansion

Refurbishing areas within the existing hospital to add 64 new beds, while delivering Stage 1A and 1B of the $1 billion master plan which includes a surgical and innovation centre, four new operating theatres, 16 day-surgery spaces, at least 40 new overnight beds, a new multi-storey staff car park and a new cyclone-rated helipad. Part of the Hospital Rescue Plan.

Delivering nine short-stay programs across the state, including one in Cairns, for youth demonstrating high-risk behaviours to give them the best chance of success and pathways into education, training and employment.

Enhanced Communications Resilience

Delivering ten Airbridge Resilient Network Infrastructure communication trailers for emergency and disaster responses across Far North Queensland ($3 million over four years).
