- Making Queensland Safer laws rollout
Adult Crime, Adult Time for young offenders across the state, who commit the most serious offences. - Early Intervention and Rehabilitation
$560 million for comprehensive early intervention and rehabilitation programs across the state, to reduce youth offending and reduce the number of victims.
DELIVERING health services when you need them
- More health workers
More health workers for Western Queensland, with additional funding in 2025–26 to grow the workforce to 456 (FTE) across Central West Hospital and Health Service. - Longreach and Winton Staff Accommodation
Staff accommodation will be replaced in Longreach and Winton providing appropriate, safe, and fit-for-purpose accommodation, as part of the Hospital Rescue Plan.
DELIVERING a better lifestyle through a stronger economy
- Longreach Water Security
$12 million total spend to raise 5 weirs along the Thomson River and implement a number of other upgrades to increase water storage and improve water efficiency across the network. - Blackall Woolscour
$940,000 to fund the final stages of a planning and feasibility study for the Blackall Woolscour project, backing the agriculture industry and regional manufacturing.
DELIVERING a plan for Queensland’s future
- Disaster Recovery and Reconstruction
$505.7 million for delivery of recovery and betterment projects to local government assets impacted by disaster events between 2021 and 2025 in Western Queensland. Part of the joint State/Australian Government Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements. - Outback Education Program
Reactivating the Outback Queensland Education Experience Program, offering financial subsidies to help school children explore the rich history, culture and landscapes of the Queensland Outback through a diverse range of tourism offerings.
