- Safe Night Precinct – Hastings Street
Delivering a new Safe Night Precinct for Noosa. - Replacement fire stations
$17.5 million to deliver the replacement of permanent fire and rescue stations in Beerwah and Caloundra.
DELIVERING health services when you need them
- More health workers
More health workers for the Sunshine Coast, with additional funding in 2025-26 to grow the workforce to 7,892 (FTE) across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. - Surgery Waitlist Stabilisation
$1.8 billion to deliver more elective surgeries when and where Queenslanders need them including partnering with the private sector through the Surgery Connect Program to reduce waitlists and have patients seen sooner.
DELIVERING a better lifestyle through a stronger economy
- More social and community housing
$43.9 million to expand and improve social and community housing in the Sunshine Coast, with 240 social homes in construction or under contract towards the delivery of 53,500 homes by 2044, including in partnership with the Australian Government. - USC courses for small business owners
$11.5 million to extend the micro-credential courses for 4 years, delivering courses in priority areas of need, for small business owners in collaboration with the University of Sunshine Coast.
DELIVERING a plan for Queensland’s future
- New primary school in Caloundra South (West)
Delivering a new primary school to service the growing Caloundra South Priority Development Area, part of an $815 million new schools commitment. - Connecting the Sunshine Coast
Commencing work to deliver heavy rail from Beerwah to Birtinya, with The Wave providing high frequency metro style services from Birtinya through Maroochydore to the Sunshine Coast Airport.
