Delivering a new Townsville-based hub to help double the capacity of the Womensline and Mensline helplines to support victims of domestic and family violence.
DELIVERING health services when you need them
- Townsville University Hospital Expansion
The Townsville University Hospital will be expanded with at least 165 new overnight beds as part of the Hospital Rescue Plan. - More health workers
More frontline health workers for North Queensland, with additional funding in 2025-26 to grow the workforce to 6,378 (FTE) in Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
DELIVERING a better lifestyle through a stronger economy
- More Social and Community Housing
$89.1 million to expand and improve social and community housing in North Queensland, with 160 social homes in construction or under contract towards the delivery of 53,500 social and community homes by 2044, including in partnership with the Australian Government. - Palm Island Home Ownership
Working with Palm Island Council to create new housing pathways and give residents the opportunity to own their own home where they previously haven’t been able to.

- Thuringowa State High School hall air conditioning
Delivering air conditioning for the multipurpose hall at Thuringowa State High School. - Angus Smith Drive Roundabout
Delivering upgrades to the Angus Smith Drive roundabout in Douglas to unlock congestion and unlock potential for growth at the university and the hospital
